Whew it's over!!

Whew it's over!! Nope I am not refering to Thanksgiving. I mean the Black Friday morning. I am normally a big trooper about it all, but this morning was so different. My friend Teri Willert and I were up and gone by 4:06am. We headed to Wal=Mart first and couldn't locate what I was really looking for. We searched, asked and were lead around the store by associates who didn't know more than we did. Teri is not a seasonal BLACK FRIDAY shopper. She was a little wide eyed like a deer about it all. 5am hit and all chaos broke out. I would think that that they were giving away cash. Unfortunatly like myself everyone is trying to get gifts and save a little money with this economy and all. But within 10 minutes I was feeling a little confined within the walls of Wal-Mart with nowhere to go and I didn't enjoy the feeling. I couldn't get within 10ft of the electronic department to get a Wii game my daughter wanted. I gave up went and purchased the few things I did manage to grab and got out of there. We went to the next stop Menards / Target and that was worse and by this time I just wanted to give up and head home but Teri didn't get up at 3am for nothing and we went and actually did well and went fast. We had a great morning together, laughed way to hard and got a few deals. I am still not quite sure why I do it year after year, is it tradition, or do I enjoy being simply crazy one day of the year. I even heard that one Wal-mart associate in New York was mauled and killed this year......seriously is it all necessary that a human life was taken because of trying to get a $2.00 DVD. I hope all of you had fun and enjoyed the day. I think this year I wasn't on a mission except to enjoy being with my friend. Thanks Teri for going with me.
