Out Of The Blue!!

We live in such a busy world. Our calendars are filled with meetings, sport schedules, events etc. that we often find little time to stay connected with friends and family members who's lives have taken a different path than what we lead. In the past few months I have received several phone calls or emails from friends I haven't heard from in a long time. Out of the blue they thought of me and either called or emailed. I wonder what it was that day that made them think of me and want to connect. After talking with them and realizing I miss them in my life we vowed to get together or keep in contact. It often doesn't happen as the intention is there but the time never is really there. After talking to them I always seem to smile a little more that day and feel better. So why don't we do this more often? Why don't we find a few moments in a day and connect with someone we would like to connect with again. Sometimes we feel it has been too long since the last time, but the present is a gift we can give ourselves if we act upon it. So my wish is today you take the time to email, write, or phone a friend or family member you haven't in a long time. Simply tell them Hi old friend. Thank you Angie, Gordon, Chris and Tina for doing this to me these past few months, you made my days and now I must go and say HI to someone too.
